Wobei es sich beim zitierten Teil von @Para s Post so anhört, als gäbe es ein Upgrade für Besitzer der PS4-Version, das dann halt nen Obolus kostet, aber kein Vollpreis.
Bin mir aber ziemlich sicher, dass Sony für "Neukunden" ihre 79 € haben will...

Widescreen? Und ich habe mich schon geärgert, dass ich mich jetzt zwischen Widescreen und DC Boni entscheiden muss. Ist das nicht das erste Game auf einer Playstation-Konsole mit Widescreen-Auflösung?

das hat mich auch gewundert, aber die pc version wurde ja auch u.a. mit ihrem widescreen support beworben. vielleicht wollte es kojima dann auch unbedingt in der ps5 version haben.

Da bin ich gespannt, aber das wäre mega. Afaik kann die PS5 aber aktuell keine anderen Auflösungen als 4k und 1080p ausgeben. Vielleicht wäre das dann auch nur ein Widescreen-Format mit Balken wie bei The Order 1886. Aber bei Kojima bin ich relativ zuversichtlich, dass er da seine Visionen umsetzt. Wenn das noch mit Widescreen-Support von der PS5 einhergeht, noch besser.

Ist natürlich geschickt das Teil als Directors Cut anzubieten, um Argumente für den Vollpreis in der Hinterhand zu haben. Die wissen ja auch, wie der Hase läuft. Aber mir egal. Es gibt wenige Spiele, wo ich mir sowas gefallen lasse, Death Stranding gehört dazu.

Ne, so sehr ich das Spiel geliebt habe, aber für mich hat das Ding keinen Wiederspielwert, wenn man es bereits platiniert hat. Vollpreis würde ich dafür nicht noch einmal zahlen. Wenn's für 20 Euro ein Upgrade gibt und man die neuen Inhalte individuell auswählen und spielen kann, okay, sonst werde ich hier passen. Ideal aber natürlich für alle, die es bis heute noch nicht (durch-)gespielt haben.

Very nice, endlich hat man Gewissheit. 10€ gehen klar mit ein paar neuen Inhalten, für 60fps hätte ich auch mehr bezahlt.

fairer upgrade path, neuer story content, ps4 savegame übertragbar... ja, haben zum glück da nicht reingeschissen. freu mich auf ende september.

jetzt keine große überraschung nach der tsushima ankündigung, aber "director's cut" ist dann wohl einfach ein sony/playstation branding für zukünftige ps5 remaster, was dann auch darauf schließen lässt, dass da noch einige ausstehen.

Norman Reedus, Daryl Dixon on The Walking Dead, indicated that Death Stranding 2 might happen.

"I think we're doing a second Death Stranding," Reedus told reporter Vitória Pratini of AdoroCinema, IGN Brasil's partner site. "[The game] is on negotiations. So… Yay! ", celebrated the actor, in front of the excitement of the journalists present at the roundtable about the 11th season of The Walking Dead.

It remains to be seen whether the actor was referring to the director's version of Death Stranding, which will be released in September for PS5. Director's Cut will feature additional content, including new facilities, weapons and items, as well as the Social Strand System, which will enable competitive mode.

Der Artikel hier beschreibt genau meine Gedanken.
Grundsätzlich freue ich mich natürlich auf eine verbesserte Fassung für die PS5, aber diesen ganzen Zusatz-Quatsch kann man sich meiner Meinung nach sparen. Das hat mit dem Grundgedanken, auf dem das Spiel basiert, doch nichts mehr zu tun.
Zu Kojima hingegen passt es natürlich wie die Faust aufs Auge, mir gefällt es trotzdem nicht…
